Every year Kenmore PTA partners with parents and community members to offer a series of “Brown Bag” classes that enrich students by providing them with new experiences. This year, we can’t be in person but we have put together virtual classes. Here’s the bonus: students can choose to participate in all 6!
Malala’s Magic Pencil: Imagining a better world. This week, we’re acknowledging our great fortune in having Kenmore Elementary as our school, and thinking about others who are not as fortunate. To learn more about access to education, watch the read aloud, “Malala’s Magic Pencil,” by Malala Yousafsai and get inspired to create your own magic pencils. If you are inspired to draw, you can either use a program on your computer, or you can use crayons and paper. If you like STEAM activities, you can also create and build your own inclusive school using materials around your home. Share your creations with other Kenmore Cubs on Flipgrid!
This week, our topic is Malala’s Magic Pencil.
Your students can share what they’ve done or learned with their classmates by posting to Flipgrid.
