Jewish American Heritage Month

Join us in celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month. We hope KE families have the opportunity to learn about, honor and celebrate

the experiences, traditions and cultures of the Jewish American community. Connect and engage with this month’s theme by:

  • Visiting our Jewish American Heritage page for more resources, links and suggested children’s books
  • Attending the Shabbat Shalom workshop, taught by fifth grader Rhia Dorian, at this year’s Family Culture Night on May 19th. Each Friday evening, families begin the celebration of Shabbat. For many, the evening includes favorite foods, company for dinner, special songs, and blessings. On Shabbat, families take a break and spend time together and with community. You are invited to come, learn about Shabbat and even choose a free book that Rhia’s family has chosen to further your understanding of their Jewish culture (purchased by the PTA).
